MONDAYS

7-8 My Music: Musicians talk about their instruments.

TUESDAYS

9.30-10.30 Piano Course for Beginners (weekly) with Loc-Mai Brooker

10.00 U3A Walkers *. First Tuesday monthly.

10-12 Simply Sewing- 5 week course, date to be announced, please register interest with Michele Ayres

2-4 Tea and Scrabble (Weekly from February) £2

2-4 Drawing & Painting: (for 6 weeks from 16th Feb with Ian Milburn

5.30-6.30 Tai Chi (Weekly from 2nd March)

7.30-9.30 Octavia Hill Chess Club:(Weekly) A member of the Cambridgeshire County Chess Association they welcome beginners and experienced players. The fee per evening is £2 which is donated to the Birthplace House. Conatact Clive Donald on 01945 474818 for more information.

Octavia Hill Society Coach Day

Sunday 8th August

The annual coach visit to sites associated with Octavia Hill and her life departs from Wisbech and usually picks up members in Huntingdon and South Mimms. Every other year, the day concludes at Octavia Hill’s grave.

   A memorial lecture and service held

   in Wisbech. 

 

Annual Dates
  Flower   The second Sunday in August, when various sites are visited before flowers are laid on Octavia’s grave in Kent to mark her death on 13 August 1912  

Grey Line

  The first Sunday in December, when Octavia’s birthday on 3 December 1838 is marked by the Octavia Hill Memorial Lecture and Commemoration Service.   Octavia Hill Birthplace Plaque
